aSTEAM Village Virtual School 8th Grade Math Bundle

The purpose of the aSTEAM Village Virtual School Math Bundle is to provide families with a set of sequential lessons that are based on the local states and Common Core State Standards. 

​

These lessons focus on three (3) critical areas:

​

(1)  formulating and reasoning about expressions and equations, including modeling an association in bivariate data with linear equation, and solving linear equations and systems of linear equations;

​

(2)  grasping the concept of a funstion and using functioning to describe quantitive relationships;

​

(3)  analyzing two-dimensional and three-dimensionl space and figures using distance, angle, simularity, and congruence, and understanding and applying the Pythagrorean Theoream; 

​

These challenging and engaging lessons provide opportunities for students to strengthen their understanding of these critical concepts. 

​

Students will be empowered to learn at their own pace, to pause, think and discuss, to rewind or even go fast forward.

​

Students working towards mastery of these three (3) critical areas, students will be well-prepared for High School Algebra and Geometry topics this upcoming school year.
