aSTEAM Village Virtual School 6th Grade Math Bundle
The purpose of the aSTEAM Village Virtual School Math Bundle is to provide families with a set of sequential lessons that are based on the Common Core State Standards.
These lessons focus on four (4) critical areas:
(1) understanding ratio concepts and using ratio reasoning to solve problems;
(2) extending understanding of rational numbers and using that knowledge to explain why the procedures to divide fractions make sense;
(3) applying and extending prior learning to write and evaluate mathematical expressions;
(4) solving real-world and mathematical problems involving area, surface area, and volume.
These challenging and engaging lessons provide opportunities for students to strengthen their understanding of these critical concepts.
Students will be empowered to learn at their own pace, to pause, think and discuss, to rewind or even go fast forward.
Working towards mastery of these four (4) critical areas, students will be well-prepared for 7th grade math this upcoming school year.
